Plans and Reports

Reimagine Montclair

The first ever Reimagine Montclair event will be held on Saturday, September 26, 10 am-2 pm, at Montclair Elementary School.  These events allow Pensacola to truly shine as a community by providing a venue in which to do so.  Businesses, churches, ministries, and community organizations come together to bring hope by offering guests at each event the opportunity to collect food to take home, clothing to take home, to enjoy a free lunch, free diapers, free laundry detergent, and free personal hygiene products, just to name a few.  Children will have the time of their lives with all the games, inflatables, toys, books, etc. to be given away.  Adults will be pampered with a free manicure and a free haircut.  There is so much to do at these events because of the giving, caring people in Pensacola.

The mission of Montclair Elementary School is to create a school where parents want to send their children, students want to learn, teachers want to teach, and employees want to work.

All Adults Must Show "Proof of ID"

Every Day When Entering School!!!

The school district will now require all parents and visitors to check in at the office if they want to enter the building with their child in the morning. Visitors must show proof of ID and receive a visitor pass each day before walking their children to breakfast or class. Parents and visitors must also exit through the same doors and return their visitors pass to Mrs. Jo so she can check you back out. We ask that parents allow their children to begin walking to class or breakfast by themselves after the first week so they can begin their morning work on arrival.

This safety feature is important to make sure that every child is safe on our school campus at all times. Please be sure to bring your ID as you arrive each day and be patient as we adjust to this new system. Please explain this rule to all family members who have written permission to pick up your children. We appreciate your help keeping all of our children safe.

Safety Changes During Afternoon Car Rider Pick-Up!

Beginning September 14th, all cars in the car rider line, will be required to have a Montclair Student Name Card in their car window in order to be able to pick up their children. If you allow someone other than yourself to pick up your child, they must be listed on the emergency blue card in the office or they will not be allowed to take your children. The adult will then be directed to drive around to the office where the parents will be contacted. If this person is not on the blue card, they will not be allowed to leave with your child. Your children will also be sent to the office and the correct approved person (on the blue card) will be contacted. We will provide each family with 5 Montclair Student Name Cards so they can pass out to the people on the emergency blue cards and they can keep in their cars for pick up time.

Back Gate Arrival & Dismissal Change!

During arrival, the back gate will be opened at 6:50am sharp and closed 7:15am sharp. Adults are not allowed to enter through this gate at any time and must enter through the front office doors for check-in. There will be no staff member to monitor gates in the mornings as we are limited on staff and they are needed in the front of the school where most of our students arrive. During dismissal, the back gate will be opened at 2:15pm and closed after all students are escorted out of the gate. No one may re-enter through this gate after it is locked.

New Student Drop-Off Procedures

  • All students will begin entering the building through the north end doors, in the car rider lines.
  • All parents and adult visitors must enter through the main office doors to check-in with a proof of ID every day. No visitor badges can be created by the Raptor check-in system without proof of ID (even if Mrs. Jo knows you). The system has to scan the ID to produce the visitor pass.
  • Pre-K parents may pull up in the car rider line and drop students off and sign them in Ms. Buskey and Ms. Davis.
  • These new changes are an effort to keep students safe at all times and monitor visitors who are entering our school on a daily basis. We appreciate your cooperation in the implementation of these safety measures. We appreciate your patience.

Montclair Students will Receive and Extra Hour of Reading Every Day!

Good News!!! All PreK – 5th grade students will receive an extra hour of reading this year. Our school district has provided this extra hour as an intervention to help our students get that extra push to being successful readers. Please make sure you have your child to school on time every day so they can receive this extra hour from 7:15-8:15am each day. We want every child to benefit from this wonderful opportunity.

If you have an address change, you must inform the school office and provide verification of an address change. Your child will not be able to ride the bus until we have the correct address in our system.

All students who attend Montclair Elementary School will receive free breakfast and lunch every day!
